We’re pleased to share the May 2020 edition of Vantage News, a special COVID-19 update providing investors with a detailed assessment of the impact of the pandemic on Vantage’s underlying portfolio companies across all Private Equity Growth Funds.

This edition covers Vantage’s active monitoring of each portfolio company during the downturn, the high proportion of underlying businesses classified as Essential Services, and several examples of portfolio companies that have adapted or benefited from the changed operating environment.

Key Highlights:

  • 51 portfolio companies (72.8% of consolidated NAV) operate Essential Service businesses or primarily serve Essential Service customers
  • 50 portfolio companies (76.1% of consolidated NAV) reported either a net benefit or low impact to financial performance from COVID-19 restrictions
  • Highlighted portfolio companies adapting positively to COVID-19 conditions include Legend Corporation (components for COVID-19 testing kits), Mandoe Media (digital COVID-19 safety communications), and Compass Education (surge in online learning platform users)
