Vantage Private Equity Secondaries Opportunities (VPESO) Fund is an Australian Secondary Fund established to provide investors unique secondary access to the top quartile performing private equity funds managed by the country’s best growth capital, turnaround and buyout managers, that would be otherwise inaccessible to most investors. The Fund will also make co-investments alongside those managers to which Vantage has an investment commitment to.
VPESO is managed by Vantage Asset Management Pty Limited (Vantage or Manager) holder of Australian Financial Services Licence No. 279186.
Established in 2004, Vantage is an independent Australian investment manager with expertise in private equity, funds management, manager selection and operational management. Vantage is 100% owned by its founders and current executives.
Vantage only invests in Australian Growth & Buyout private equity with a focus on lower to mid-market sized investments that have a size range of $25 million – $250 million Enterprize Value at investment.
These businesses typically have a strong market position that generate strong cashflows allowing VPESO to deliver strong consistent returns to investors, while significantly reducing the risk of a loss within the portfolio.
Vantage also recognises the importance Investors place on liquidity and Private Equity’s general illiquid nature through the investment phase of a portfolio’s lifecycle, typically being within the first four years of a funds life. VPESO’s secondary investment strategy theoretically skips this traditional J-curve period by purchasing existing private equity portfolios, ultimately reducing the illiquid duration timeline of private equity investing. Secondaries provided accelerated cash flows to investors in a short to medium term time frame.
With VPESO’s focus on building a diversified portfolio of existing private equity portfolios, Vantage is confident that the Fund can consistently deliver a superior return to investors.
